Organic forms meet digital imaging
This series of images reflects my continuing interest in plants, flowers, leaves, seashells, and organic textures. I discovered that a very high-resolution enlarged digital scan reveals amazing details. The scanner becomes a microscope. This technique exaggerates the nuances in the rich textures of a starfish, for example. Once I find an interesting organic texture, I then introduce the opposite yet complimentary effects of intentional digital imaging techniques. A new phase of the image is born: both organic and digital.
